Local hero, MLS Champion, & World Cup veteran @kellynacosta made a surprise visit to the VBFC Academy kids at their training session the other day at Oakwood Rec Center. After stopping by VBFC HQ to see the new clubhouse and hold some Italian leather, the LAFC & US National team midfielder was gracious to share some words of encouragement, meet the locals, kiss babies, sign every single autograph, and answer every question these kids threw at him. There’s an abundance of LAFC fans in the club so they were shocked to see one of their favorite midfielders turn up to the field wearing the same kit they had on. Kellyn’s been pure brilliance on the field for years now, but to see his patience and generosity with the youth was incredible. Outside of holding down the league’s fashion game, bringing his boys to back to back MLS Cups, shining in World Cups and visiting local youth, Kellyn has recently launched the @kellynacosta_foundation where he’s fundraising and building pitches and courts around Los Angeles in communities in need to bring greater access to the sport. The kid is the real deal and the whole club is excited to cheer him on Saturday at the MLS Cup viewing party and future games with @usmnt

Saturday Dec. 9th, 2023, VBFC will take over Windward Ave for an all day celebration and viewing party for the MLS Cup Final between LAFC & Columbus at Winston House and the new VBFC Clubhouse. The Clubhouse / Shop will be open all day and night with an @easportsfc FC24 Gaming Lounge & Winston House will be opening its doors at 12pm for VBFC x EAFC MLS Cup Final Watch Party with kickoff for the match at 1PM. All fans are welcome young and old, entry is free but any donations are welcome. For the kids. After the game, the crowd will move to the court to support some of the west coast’s nicest. Before the adults, the VBFC U14 academy will be putting on a show under the lights of the Estadio main court. Following the youth will be the Adults/First team hosting an open pickup style competition into the evening with special guests and an abundance of lucrative prizes and giveaways. The man behind the cover photo of @easportsfc FC24. An Estadio original, the one and only @devinlamoreaux Having met at a soccer event DTLA years back, Devin was new to Venice. He was only recently retired as midfielder playing at the University of South Carolina a top team in the country along with fellow VBFC designer @ryan.arambula After hanging up his boots, he picked up a camera and like the rest of us, washed up on the concrete shores of the Estadio. Since then, he’s been blessing the football world with his talent as a photographer. Dev’s shot and played in some of the biggest moments in VBFC club history. Watching his creativity evolve as an artist over the years has been a joy. His work has put him in the biggest stadiums, at the biggest games, and in front of the biggest stars in world football. Already he has created a library of iconic images including Messi lifting the trophy in the World Cup, Bale’s equalizer and the rest of LAFC’s beginnings, as well as Mbappe making his Estadio debut, and now Haalands first EAFC cover. He’s created a style that is uniquely his own. The man is a role model for his creativity, but also his ability to adapt from a player to an artist within the game we all love. Today, his work sits on the cover of @easportsfc FC24

Serbian international and @lagalaxy #9 @joveljic visits the Estadio. The day after putting on a show against Real Salt Lake, the Serbian International striker along with goalkeeper @nolemicovic decided to spend the day off in Venice supporting the youth talent at pickup and doing community service by allowing local idiot Antonio to play with their fellow Serbian friends. It was only the night before he scored a goal and displayed one of the cleanest one touch assists to fellow Estadio hero Douglas Costa on his goal. Commentary called it “world class” but we know it as Serbian standards. It may not have been LA Galaxy’s year(s) but there is a proper talent in @joveljic ready to explode as soon as management get’s it together. The Red-star Belgrade / Eintracht Frankfurt / Wolfsberger / Anderlecht / Serbian International striker is a real one for popping out to the boardwalk on a Sunday to cheer on the homies and blessing the youth. 🇷🇸 @joveljic 🇷🇸
