PICKUP AT THE ESTADIO
Every week since 2016, Venice Beach Football Club has held free open pickup games on the courts in Venice Beach, which the kids call the Estadio De Dogtown from the afternoon until the sun sets. Local pickup has brought together youth, college, professional, Champions League players, never-played-before players, World Cup winners, artists, homeless, hippies, celebrities, boardwalk workers, families, and talent of all ages from every corner of the world. Rich, poor, locals, tourists, young, old, it doesn’t matter. We play till the sun goes down, and the ball can’t be seen.
